What it is
licensed AdBlue
AdBlue is a liquid solution used in some diesel engines with selective catalytic reduction to reduce nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions. Just like the regular fuel used by these engines, AdBlue must be topped up, but not as frequently as with diesel fuel. The name was chosen as a trademark of the German Automobile Industry Association and is a marketing term for soot control fluid. As a result, the name AdBlue itself became the most pleasant to hear and established itself as the main one for this type of product.
AdBlue is a consumable for diesel car engines all over the world, whether we are talking about a car or a truck. It is injected into the SCR catalyst to break down soot and unburned fuel particles into water and nitrogen. Both of the resulting elements are harmless, respectively, entering the atmosphere from the vehicle's exhaust system.
